William E. Bowman, Jr, MD, FACS

Dr. Bowman is a native of Guilford County who was graduated from Davidson College and received his MD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His postgraduate training in general and vascular surgery was completed at the Letterman Army Hospital in San Francisco. He returned to practice surgery in Greensboro in 1981. He was a partner at Greensboro Surgical Associates until merging with Central Carolina Surgery PA in 1999.

In addition general surgery, Dr. Bowman performs vascular surgery as well as surgery for varicose veins. He serves as Chief of Surgery at Moses Cone Hospital Systems.
